School's Out Camps

In this LEGO Printmaking Workshop for grades 3–5, students explore typography, composition, and relief printing by designing and printing their own bold initial. Inspired by the modular, repetition-driven work of Eunice Chiong, artists learn how to construct their letter in reverse, build strong outer edges, and intentionally fill the interior to control visual impact. Students produce a small print edition while refining inking techniques, alignment, and craftsmanship.

In this hands-on LEGO Printmaking Workshop, students design and print their own bold initial using LEGO dot plates as a relief printing surface. Young artists learn how to think like printmakers by building their letter in reverse, constructing the outer edge first and filling the interior for strong, graphic results.
