Ellen is a self-taught abstract artist who works primarily with acrylic paints and

other mixed media to create abstract pieces. Influences are modernism,

geometric shapes, depths of peeling walls and harmonious colors abstracted

into art for both residential and commercial settings. Her artwork has been

recognized by numerous juried shows both locally and regionally. Willing to

take risks through experimentation and new techniques is essential to her

process, Ellen has effectively and enthusiastically been able to work with

acrylic, oil pastels, glass, pastes and other mixed media that transform into

unique artworks. It is here that she strives to create pieces through the

exploration of depth and texture. Ellen resides with her family in Westport, CT.
