Schools Out! Election Day: Louise Nevelson Workshop K-2nd Grade

Grades K–2

In this hands-on workshop, students will create striking monochromatic sculptures inspired by the work of artist Louise Nevelson. Using an assortment of recycled materials, young artists will assemble their own unique compositions, exploring balance, shape, and texture. Once the structure is complete, they will paint their sculpture using acrylic paints in a single color, learning how a unified palette can highlight form and detail. This playful yet thoughtful project encourages imagination while introducing students to the beauty of found-object art.
